No, that has not been confirmed. It is available to it now in BETA form, but its guaranteed they will make the final build available to Windows XP. -- -- Andre Windows Connect | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta

You've just contradicted yourself. It hasn't been confirmed, and then guaranteed to be put back onto XP. Make your mind up.

Thats a grammatical error, its not guaranteed if they will make the final release available to XP. I read somewhere, when Vista reaches RTM, WinFS should be then available as BETA 2 with a final release sometime in 2007 as a free download. -- -- Andre Windows Connect | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta

That's what I heard also - also I presume that if a product is in beta and aimed at a specific product, ie. WinFS Beta and Windows XP, I presume then it's pretty much set in stone. It's unlikely they'll put half a decade's worth of work into something then bottle out at the last minute.
Glad we sorted this out though :o)
